Audrey Denney Campaign for CA-01 Raises $100,000 Within 24 Hours of Launch

In just one day, Denney shows campaign momentum and grassroots strength in the fight for California’s First Congressional District.

CHICO, CA – Just 24 hours after announcing her bid for Congress in CA-01, Audrey Denney (D) makes a strong showing of grassroots power, raising over $100,000 in campaign contributions. Denney has promised never to accept a dime of corporate PAC money, putting real people – not politics – first and focusing on the issues and challenges impacting North State residents from Susanville to Santa Rosa. Denney is proving she is building the campaign needed to flip this seat and defeat Doug LaMalfa.

Denney shared, “This movement is about the dignity, stability, and hope of real people, and real people are ready for change. Our journey is just beginning, but we are showing that grassroots power can take on the big money interests and corruption driving national politics right now. Our momentum should be a warning to Trump, Doug LaMalfa, and Republicans in control of Washington: a new generation of leaders is here, and we’re ready to hold you accountable.”

Denney’s platform is focused on making life more affordable for Northern Californians by reversing Trump and LaMalfa’s attacks on healthcare access, confronting inflationary tariffs driving up costs for working families and small businesses, preventing attacks on earned benefits like Social Security, Medicare, and veterans benefits, and ensuring billionaires pay their fair share so the rest of us can see more money in our pockets. She is also focused on addressing wildfire risk in communities and economies in CA-01 that have been devastated by recent wildfires.
